There are two ways to filter data on a dashboard:
1. The first way to filter data is by selecting certain aspects of the dashboard itself, for example, by clicking on a portion of a pie chart the entire dashboard will update to show only data pertaining to that selection. To clear or turn off this filter click “Clear Selection” next to the name of the graph/chart you filtered with. Sometimes instead of “Clear Selection” there will be a square with a line through it diagonally. This is the same as clicking “Clear Selection” and happens when there is not enough space to display Clear Selection.
2. The second way to filter data is by selecting filters in the filter menu on the right-hand side of the page. To turn filters on and off you can click the switch icon located at the bottom right of each filter. The switch will be yellow when turned on and gray when turned off. You can also customize individual filters by clicking on them which brings up a box with all your filtering options.
